When do you hold auditions?

We are always happy to hear from potential new singers who would like to audition for us. As well as holding annual audition evenings in Autumn and Spring, we also audition ad hoc throughout the year.

Contact us to find out when our next audition date is, or to arrange an alternate day.

Rehearsals and Commitments

We are a top-rate amateur ensemble who perform in venues across London, the UK and internationally; take part in classical recordings, soundtracks and movie trailers. We rehearse in a number of churches, usually within central London.

We do not meet every week, but instead book a short series of rehearsals in the weeks preceding a concert - usually four to six rehearsals, pending the repertoire.

About you

We welcome auditions for all voice parts. Please note that this choir performs at a very high standard, with limited rehearsal. We therefore expect all singers to be good sight-readers, and be willing to look at music between rehearsals. Punctuality and reliability are also really important.

If you think this describes you, please contact us to book your audition, and become part of our friendly and talented group of musicians. As an amateur choir, singers are not paid for participating, but unlike other amateur choirs, there are no fees to join.

Audition Details

Singers are asked to prepare a piece no more than 4 minutes long which shows off their voice well. Auditions may last up to 15 minutes, as there will also be a short sight-reading test, and you may be asked to sing some scales.
