Welcome

Formed in 1994 by conductor and organist Mark Ford, The Purcell Singers is one of London’s leading chamber choirs. We perform extensively around the capital – in St James’ Piccadilly, Southwark and St Paul’s Cathedrals – and regularly at festivals in the UK, including Brighton and Howden. Our president is Sarah Walker CBE.

The choir draws on talented and experienced singers to perform a varied repertoire of both well-loved and lesser known works, and also recording commercial works, particularly for the film industry.

The choir is thrilled to be part of a new European Cultural Network project, funded by the European Regional Development Fund, and led by l’Orchestre de Picardie. Read more about it here.
